Blogging Isn’t Dead

(If you want to skip to the good part, check out our free training at the bottom of this blog!)

Blogging Isn’t Dead. Some business owners may see this and cringe–thinking the rumors they’ve heard might have gotten them out of this task. Some may breathe a sigh of relief. We are the latter! And once we explain why this is GOOD news for you and your business, you will be, too. Let’s jump in.

More than likely, you have seen tools popping up  like ChatGPT. Now, many apps are also adding similar services, like Canva introducing “Magic Write”. Essentially, these tools allow AI to write for you in just one or two clicks. You can type in a request like, “write a blog about a luxury Key Largo wedding venue”, and within seconds, your blog awaits. Sound too good to be true? It is. But Kelly and Renee…doesn’t this mean I can just have AI write my blogs for me, if I even choose to keep blogging at all? Sorry, but no way. Why? We’re here to tell you.

No Goodbyes For Blogging Problem #1:

You will lose your dream clients if you don’t blog. How is a client supposed to connect with you, with your voice, heart and message,  if your site holds no recent blogs at all? Blogging, in your own voice(s), allows potential clients to get to sit with you for a scroll or two. This means your people, the clients who are a joy to be around and make your job even dreamier (and easier!), are missing out on YOU. And you missing out on them! Blogging allows your business and the heart(s) behind it to really shine–attracting those who connect with you to click that contact button.

Problem #2: SEO, anyone?

Blogging is one of the most essential ways to rank on Google. Want to land on that front page without having to pay a penny? Blogging is your golden ticket, Charlie. The more content your site holds with optimized SEO blogs, the more Google will view you as an “expert” in those selected topics. So when you write about things like: “Fort Myers wedding venue”, “Sarasota Engagement Session” “Naples Maternity photoshoot”, etc. you are bumped higher in those search results when one searches for those terms.

Even more so, when you have more value-packed content like this on your site, Google will “reward” you, by placing you higher up in search results. Page one, anyone?! Google wants to serve its users well, so when they can see a business is consistently showing up and packing value into their site, they will feel more comfortable recommending said business when ranking search results. (And please note…using AI content will create duplicate content from the rest of the world. This is a BIG no bueno in Google’s eyes.)
