Beach Family Photoshoot: Wardrobe Woes Solved!
While the everyone-in-khaki days will always be around, you may be wondering how to rock your family beach photoshoot in a new, timeless, no-wardrobe-woe fashion. Plus, settling into something else avoids the mental load of trying to find just the right khaki tones for every single pair of khakis for every single family member (we’ve all been there…). Win, win! While some desire pops of color to contrast the natural beach hues of the surrounding scenery, many opt for a look that marries the two together: creating a gently toned, calming look across the board. If this is something on your Summer to do list, we’ve got you! Below we are sharing tips on how to dress to impress while not losing yourself in stress. Just as a beach day should be!
As Easy As A Walk On The Beach…
To serve as inspiration, enter the sweet and stylish Carr family. This was a gorgeous beach family photoshoot with all neutral attire. This is the perfect example of the modern version of the khakis and white shirts look–making cream the predominate color and adding texture. In doing so, you will notice that the different hues of khaki, creams, whites and more marry together perfectly. There is no “eye sore” tone sticking out more so than any other–each family member’s look flows perfectly with one another. As gentle as the sea breeze, as calming as the tides…can’t you just feel the water tickling your toes looking at this session? Us too. And that’s just how many want to feel when looking at their own family beach photoshoot.
If you are wanting this look yet still yearning for some color, the setting has your back (literally 😉 )! On any given Florida beach, there is surrounding areas of greenery, seagrass, flowers and more. As seen in the above photos, the pop of green added in some colorful, more playful settings for some of these shots. Below, you will see how the brown rocks added in yet another vibe altogether. This session captured the calm of the sand/sea tones, the fun of the foliage, and the awe-inspiring of the rocks. Mission accomplished!
Timing Is Everything
Lastly, something to keep in mind when it comes to the colors of your session is the time of day. If you opt for sunrise, you will likely have more gentle tones throughout your photos. Whereas if you opt for sunset, you may have more of those golden, sunset toned hues decorating your attire in your photos. You can’t lose either way. Florida is beautiful–first thing in the morning or long after the day has been greeted–and your family is, too!
Ready to rock your photoshoot? Us too! Let’s chat today and get those summer sessions scheduled. Go ahead and cross “wardrobe woes” off your to do list while you’re at it. 😉
