The idea behind the double proposal:
Upon booking us for portraits, Peyton told us that she was planning a proposal. A few days later Whitney told us she was planning to propose! A surprise of a lifetime was about to happen- a double proposal! We couldn’t believe that they were both going to propose. We knew it had to be captured in a very special way. The plan was to have them turn back to back and on the count of three, turn around and propose. They knew that this was the cue to get down on one knee. The reaction was priceless as they both kneeled in the sand starring at one another in shock. They finally moved in for a kiss and to place the rings on each other’s fingers. It was a beautiful moment filled with tears and laughter.
How Peyton and I Met:
“My sister and her were best friends. It was their first week of being college freshmen. My sister had asked if I would pick Peyton up along with their other friend.
So we picked them up and I remember staring at Peyton and catching her look at me. I thought she had the prettiest eyes. We became close friends shortly after meeting and then came out to each other. I used every excuse just to hang out with her. April of 2018, I asked her to be my girlfriend.
I wanted to propose on vacation and I knew that she would’ve wanted the moment to be captured. I mentioned wanting to have a beach photo session done while on vacation because I knew if it worked out, it would be perfect. She was all for it.
Getting that moment captured was definitely worth it.” -Whitney
How Whitney and I Met:
“My story- we met about 2 years ago, her younger sister was my best friend and we had just started college. Her sister decided it was time for us to meet but neither of us had known that the other gay at that point. Well, Whitney picked up her sister, our friend and me. I was in the back seat and I kept looking at her through the mirror and we kept making eye contact. I knew from the minute I met her that to me she was flawless and I had a feeling she was interested. It wasn’t until 1-2 weeks later that we told each other we, liked girls. It seemed like we always used every excuse to see each other but we never really crossed that barrier of being friends until the second semester!
I originally had planned on proposing during our vacation. Thought about doing a dinner cruise proposal; however, Whitney was so set on getting our pictures made and I thought that would be the perfect moment so it could be captured!” -Peyton
