Sanibel Beach- 1 year post Hurricane Ian
If you’ve been following along on our story for a little over a year, you know the impact that Hurricane Ian had on our community, beaches, and our lives personally. While we were happy that Marco and Naples were able to open most of their beaches quickly, we are equally excited that we are now able to use more of the beaches on Sanibel; that we so fondly photographed for so many years prior. This particular session was not only special because we got to use a Sanibel Beach as a backdrop but for these two that didn’t have a proper wedding due to the pandemic.
Thomas and Hiokuan reached out to us a few months prior to inquire about a portrait session to celebrate their marriage. They explained that they would be traveling internationally and would be making a stop in Fort Myers. It was truly on honor to get to meet them and hear their story! Due to the pandemic in 2020, they did not have the opportunity to have a proper wedding, so they wanted to come back to Fort Myers to some of their favorite and special spots- and allowed us to capture it all!
Our first stop was downtown Fort Myers, where they spent a special date at Ford’s Garage, and enjoyed walking the streets reminiscing of old times. They were full of laughs and love, which are two of our favorite things.
As part of their extended session, they wanted to also have photos on the beach. We found the perfect little Sanibel beach spot to capture these special moments.
We were so happy that they decided to take a stop back in Fort Myers, and allow us to capture their love.
