Bonita Bay Club Wedding
Kristen and Brendan
“We chose to have our wedding at Bonita Bay Club in Bonita Springs, Florida on April 13, 2019. Although we are both from out of state, it was important for us to have our wedding in Bonita Springs because it was the place we fell in love. Brendan’s family has a house in the Bonita Bay Community and we would spend much time there walking, biking and kayaking around the community. The greenery and landscaping surrounding the community is gorgeous. We did not want a traditional wedding ceremony and wanted our ceremony to be held outside. Bonita Bay had a beautiful courtyard area with palm trees and flowers surrounding the area. It was the perfect spot. They also had a great back up room if it were to rain. Lucky for us it was a gorgeous day!”
A natural and elegant affair
“Our vision for the wedding was for it to be simple and elegant. We did not want a lot of props or crazy colors. We chose neutral colors, mostly white floral arrangements and floating candles. It was important for our wedding to be all in the same location. All our guests traveled far to be with us and we wanted the day to flow and run as smoothly as possible. We exchanged our own vows during the ceremony and everyone truly felt how much we loved one another. It was important for us to do our own vows from our hearts. It truly was an amazing day!”
A Blossoming Love in Bonita
“We met in Bonita Springs, Florida. After our first date we were inseparable. We both loved outdoor activities. We would kayak, run, walk and watch the beautiful sunsets on the beaches of Bonita. Our love for sunsets has always been a big part of us. Six months after we met we told each other we loved one another. He informed me it was going to be the last time he told anyone those three special words. I knew he meant it when he proposed to my birthday March 16, 2018.”
Brendan proposed to Kristen on Little Hickory Island. This is where they spent their first sunset together and is their favorite beach spot. Brendan told Kristen they had their first sunset together there and he wanted to have his last sunset with her and got down on one knee.”
