Kayla and Solomon ‘s Multicultural Wedding in South Florida
A Love Story Across Cultures: Kayla & Solomon’s Multicultural Wedding
Every wedding tells a story, but Kayla and Solomon’s wedding felt like a dream come to life—complete with heartfelt traditions, playful details, and moments that had everyone grinning ear to ear. This Indian-American celebration was a colorful, love-filled blend of faith, culture, and Coca-Cola. Yes, Coca-Cola! This La Casa Toscana Wedidng was one for the books!
A Weekend of Faith and Celebration
The weekend kicked off with a meaningful Lutheran Indian Blessing on Saturday. This ceremony honored both Kayla and Solomon’s deep-rooted faith and heritage—a beautiful way to set the tone.
“It was so important to us to bring our faith into this,” Kayla shared. “Our marriage is built on it.” Solomon added with a smile, “The planning process really evolved as we figured out how to reflect both of our cultures. The Nalagu ceremony was such a fun, joyful prelude to the big day.”
By Sunday, all roads led to a jaw-droppingly gorgeous Italian Tuscan Inspired at La Casa Toscana, in Fort Myers. Imagine cobblestone paths, dreamy arches, and a vibe straight out of a fairy tale. It was a true fusion of cultures where every detail whispered their unique love story.
The First Touch
Cue the happy tears! Kayla and Solomon’s first touch was nothing short of magical. Tucked away in a quiet corner, they took a moment to pray, hold hands, and share a laugh before the whirlwind of the day swept them off their feet.
A Sweet and Sparkling Centerpiece
Now, let’s talk about Coca-Cola. Yep, Coca-Cola! For Kayla, it was a childhood staple—a drink she shared with the men in her family. For Solomon, it was a quirky, adorable connection from one of their first dates. “After we got engaged, we visited the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta,” Solomon said with a grin. “We’re basically Coke super-fans now.”
Naturally, they created a unique Coke display at the wedding—a nostalgic, fun centerpiece that had everyone snapping photos. “It’s not just a drink for us,” Kayla shared. “It’s a reminder of where we’ve been and how far we’ve come.”
As if the day couldn’t get any sweeter, the guests had experiences around every corner. From the Live-painter, Cigar Roller, photobooth and dance party everyone had something to enjoy. The the night ended with a sparkler send-off and a fast car exit that felt straight out of a storybook.
Q&A with the Couple, Kayla and Solomon
Question: Fast forward to 2030—what’s the first wedding memory that pops into your head?
Answer: In 2030 the first wedding memory that pops into our heads is our last private dance! Kayla: Our song “Running up that hill” dates back to Solomon’s first love letter to Kayla in 2022. Fast forward to March 2024 that was the song that was playing at our engagement, and what we closed our wedding night out to in October 2024. S: I think I’ll always remember the car and driving around Fort Myers with my now wife.
Question: That Coca-Cola display was epic! What’s the story?
Answer: K: I grew up sharing Coca-Cola in a glass bottle with all the male role models in her life! It reminded her of her childhood. While we were engaged we went to the Coca-Cola Factory in Atlanta, Georgia and it just became one of “our thing” now too:). S: Coca-Cola was something that we bonded over on an early date – we later made a trip to Atlanta, GA shortly after our engagement and we visited the World of Coca-Cola. Kayla had always loved Diet Coke and by the time we did the whole experience, we had a blast seeing the story of how Coca-Cola had come to be. We decided it would be a cool centerpiece of the wedding because of how it was a centerpiece of our story.
Question: You had two beautiful ceremonies. What was most special to you about the two?
Answer: We chose to have a traditional Lutheran Indian Blessing the day before we got married in the church because we both grew up devout Lutherans. Our faith is the most important thing to us, and what our marriage will be built on. It was important for us to have that apart of our wedding weekend and to glorify Christ throughout the festivities. S: The wedding planning was such a process, it evolved over time to be a reflection of both of our cultures. The Sunday ceremony was always the focal point but as we discussed how to honor the Indian heritage, the Saturday ceremony came to be with the church function as well as the Nalagu that evening. This turned out to be a fun preamble for what was to come on Sunday – a day featured at an Italian Tuscan Villa and a night to remember!
