Important Tips For Planning Your Engagement Session
It’s time to cross off one of the most fun wedding planning tasks in that binder of yours: your engagement session!
Now that you have your dream wedding photographer booked, you are well on your way to your very Best Day. We are grateful and thrilled to journey beside you in the coming months leading up to it all!
Wondering how to tackle this? Here are some words of advice to begin that walk down the engagement photo shoot planning aisle with us.
Engagement Session Tips
1.) It’s a date! Chat with your spouse to be about tentative dates for your engagement session. As you do so, once you have a few in mind, share them with your wedding photographer to book a date you are all available.
2.) Get the daydreams rolling. As you discuss a date together, envision where you would like these photos to take place. While some couples opt for the same overall vibe of their wedding day in their engagement session, I.E. a beach engagement photo shoot and a beach wedding, some other couples opt to go in an entirely different direction. In this case, are you having a tropical wedding? Consider mixing it up for your engagement session and dreaming up a cozy cottage or downtown engagement session. The sky is the limit, and the choice is yours!
3.) Timing is everything. Keep in mind, most couples send their Save The Dates out 9-12 months ahead of their wedding day, especially when planning a destination wedding. Wedding invitations are sent out 3 months ahead of their wedding day. So if you are planning on utilizing your engagement photos for either collections, be sure to plan the timing accordingly.
BONUS TIP:
Schedule your Hair and Makeup trial for the same day as your engagement session. This way you not only get to try out some beautiful styles, but you can to actually put all that gorgeous(ness) to good use!
